General Guidance, Not Advice

Everything published on this site is general information about how UK tax rules apply to solar installation businesses. It is not advice on your own affairs, and it cannot be, because it is written without knowing your figures, your structure or your contracts. Acting on it without taking advice on your own position is at your own risk.

Work is delivered by Tidy Money Ltd, regulated by the ACCA. The practice does not advise on investments. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any financial product, and nothing here is a recommendation about whether to install solar.

Figures and Dates

Rates, thresholds and dates on this site were read from their primary sources on the date shown as last reviewed at the top of each page. Tax rules change, sometimes at short notice, and the zero rate on energy-saving materials in particular is scheduled to change on 31 March 2027 and could be altered before then.

Check the position at the date it matters to you rather than relying on a page. Where a figure here disagrees with HMRC, HMRC is right.

Who Does the Work

Accountancy services described on this site are provided by Tidy Money Ltd. Any engagement is subject to a separate written engagement letter and to anti-money-laundering identity checks. Nothing on this website forms an engagement on its own.
